    Most of us approach moments of uncertainty the way we approach problems at work or life by thinking harder, gathering more information, or pushing through. And yet the clarity we’re looking for rarely comes from more effort. It comes from finding a different perspective.


    The Reflective Self is built on the belief that understanding yourself, how you think, where you are in your life’s larger cycles, and what your patterns are telling you, is the most practical thing you can do when life feels unclear. This is not about finding answers from the outside. It is about creating an alinged mindset, for insights to emerge from within.


    No single framework captures the full picture of a human life. So, rather than relying on one lens, this practice uses three -  Psychology, to understand how we think and behave, Astrology, to offer perspective on timing and cycles, and Real-World Experience, to ground both in the practical reality of how lives and careers actually unfold. Together, they offer a way to move forward with greater insights and purpose

    The process begins before we meet.
    You will receive a detailed intake form as you book your session. Your responses, about where you are, what you’re carrying, and what you’re hoping to understand  form the basis of a 60-minute pre-session analysis. This is where the three lenses are applied to your specific situation before we speak.


    The session itself is a 60-minute conversation. Not a presentation of findings, but a genuine dialogue, working through what the analysis has surfaced, exploring what resonates, and beginning to identify what shifts might be possible.


    You leave with a 30 day roadmap, three recommended behavioural alignments, tailored to your patterns and your current life phase. Not a generic plan, but a set of small, considered moves designed for where you actually want to be.


    This journey continues through the follow-up Integration Sessions, partnering with you as you undertake your journey in the new way of being.

    From therapy: Therapy is primarily focused on healing, working through past experiences and emotional difficulties. This practice is focused on navigation, understanding where you are and where you might go. The two can complement each other, but they serve different purposes.


    From coaching: Coaching typically works with goals and accountability. This practice works a layer beneath that, with the patterns and timing that determine whether goals feel aligned in the first place. It’s less about what you want to achieve and more about understanding the conditions under which you’ll actually move.


    From astrology readings: A traditional reading offers interpretation. This practice uses astrological insight as one input within a broader, psychology-led conversation. The astrology informs, it doesn’t determine.


    This is a structured space for people who are ready to think differently.

    Integration Sessions are 60-minute conversations held periodically, after your Blueprint session, focused on what’s moving, what’s resisting, and what needs recalibrating. This enables change to be lasting and a new way of being emerges.

    A Personal Note

     Across 24 years in corporate HR, I have worked alongside people navigating some of the most defining moments of their professional lives like career transitions, leadership challenges, periods of uncertainty and change. My role was never to have the answers, but to think through the questions together.

    That collaborative way of working, sitting with someone in their complexity and finding alignment, rather than prescribing a path, is at the heart of how I work at The Reflective Self too.


    At a certain point in my life, I found myself at a similar crossroads. Despite the experience, the clarity I could offer others, and a career that looked complete from the outside, I had my own questions about direction and meaning. Working through those questions, using the same three lenses I now bring to sessions, is what ultimately led me to found The Reflective Self.


    I am Avanteeka Bakshi, psychologist, vedic astrologer and former HR Director. This practice is built from both professional experience and a lived understanding of what it actually feels like to pause, reflect, and realign.
